Family information should move only with clear consent
This Phase One policy explains the intended handling of search, inquiry, claim, analytics, and provider information. Final retention periods and the legal-entity contact must be completed before a real-data launch.
Information collected
Search filters can be used without an account. Inquiry forms collect contact details and childcare needs; claim and provider update forms collect professional contact, relationship, and provider business details. Precise location is requested only after an affirmative choice.
How information is used
Information supports search, selected-provider inquiries, claim review, verification, correction, service operations, consent records, security, and first-party lead attribution.
Administrative email notifications
When a parent request, provider claim, or provider update is saved, a limited operational summary may be sent to the designated Cali Childcare Finder business inbox through a transactional email provider. Providers receive a submission receipt and, only when they opt in, a scheduled reminder to reconfirm availability. Review outcomes and clarification requests may be emailed to the verified provider work address. Sensitive inquiry answers and claim evidence are not included in administrative notifications.
Website analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate visits and actions such as searches, provider views, map interactions, phone or website clicks, and completed forms. We do not intentionally send search text, precise location, contact information, or form answers to Google Analytics.
Sharing
A family inquiry is shared only with providers the family selects and only for the requested childcare purpose. We do not sell or broadly distribute family inquiry information.
Location privacy
Home-provider residential locations are approximate by default. Family precise location is not stored in public provider records and is not required for map-free search.
Directory workflow
The site stores submitted requests in its database for review and follow-up. Requests are not sent automatically. Do not submit sensitive identity, medical, or financial documents.
Your choices
Families can decline location access, use list search, avoid accounts, withdraw a future inquiry, and request correction or deletion through the published privacy contact once the operator contact is finalized.
